STREETsm@rt
Our vision is:
To engage all adults in a process of lifelong learning that cultivates knowledge, wisdom, and confidence; enabling and equipping adults to witness in their social environment and grow as disciples of Christ. (Ephesians 3:11-16, Proverbs 1:5, Proverbs 19:2, Romans 12:2, Proverbs 27:17, Hebrews 10:23-25)
How do we meet needs?
STREETsm@rt meets several critical needs of the church body. First and foremost, it provides a place to grow as a Christian through further learning and education, whether the topic addressed is healthy conflict resolution or a study of Church history. STREETsm@rt also promotes connectedness among the body, through fellowship and fun. Through this ministry, adults will also discover the unique giftedness God has imparted to each one of them; they are encouraged and equipped to use these gifts to reach out and impact their communities and those around them. Finally, STREETsm@rt provides a glimpse into the heart and vision of Iasis Christ Fellowship, enabling members of the church to participate and engage more fully with the church as a whole.
Through STREETsm@rt, believers gain a foundational groundwork for lifelong growth and study. They are able to build relationships and community with others in the church, and truly find a place of belonging. Participants are equipped with practical applications and tools to face the challenges of the Christian walk and everyday life. Furthermore, individuals can expect to be personally challenged, encouraged, and convicted in their relationships with Christ, others, and the community.
Who can be involved and how?
Anyone interested in STREETsm@rt can participate by signing up for a STREETsm@rt class. There are a wide variety of classes offered, ranging in subject from relationships, to in-depth Bible studies, to a history of Iasis Christ Fellowship and the future vision for the church, and much more. Sign-ups for classes occur twice a year prior to the start of each class cycle. People wanting to participate in a class can sign-up at church, calling the church, and via email. Any questions about STREETsm@rt can be directed to the STREETsm@rt Coordinator.
