Iasis at a Glance
“Iasis ‘messengers’ declared God’s glory in Costa Rica last January”
Missions Ministry
Our Vision:
To follow the call in Isaiah 66: 19:
“I will send… messengers to the nations… and to all the lands beyond the sea that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory.
Goals:
- To offer a short-term mission twice annually.
- To establish an ongoing Iasis mission/missionary within two years in a land of great need “ beyond the sea”.
Next Short-Term Mission:
Ireland: January 2-15, 2012 – Bring the GOOD NEWS Gospel to the people of Ireland. Europe is one of the least evangelized continents in the world. Most Europeans are not followers of Christ, but many are seeking truth. Only about 3% of the population regularly attend a Christian church. Step into a mission filed in a way you may have never encountered before. Be part of God’s work reaching a girl or boy, man or woman contemplating dark alternatives. In the process, be a Christian stronger in God’s path than you ever imagined.
Future Short-Term Missions:
Africa: Summer 2013 – This will be the first stand alone mission ministry by Iasis Christ Fellowship. Pastor Johnny Square represents many contacts across the African continent where each of us can fill a desperate need. He remains open to your input on callings you have there.
Israel: Winter 2014 – Like Africa, there is a strong need for evangelism in Israel. So in participating, you will have an opportunity to spread the Word to adults and children alike. What’s more, Israel sits at the heart of the Holy Land, offering many educational and sightseeing experiences that we as Christians will not want to miss.
Other short-term destination options:
Peru, China, Fiji, Costa Rica, Alaska and Montana.
Note:
If these or other possible destinations are of interest, please discuss your preference with an Iasis Mission Committee member: Alyssa de la Torre, Cammie Karr, Christina Renton, Aragorn Spaulding or Harry Black. You may also email to streetwise@iasis.org or rosemary_black@q.com.
Long-Term Mission:
For those with a long-term calling contact Pastor Johnny Square or a member of the Mission Committee.
